Theme: Swami Vivekananda - The Spiritual Genius

The theme of the assembly from 6-1-14 to 10-1-14 for class IV was Swami Vivekananda – The Spiritual Genius.

On the first day, there was a brief introduction of Swami Vivekananda.

On the second day a PowerPoint presentation was shown detailing Swami Vivekananda’s early life.

On the third day a skit was presented by the students about Swami Vivekananda’s first meeting with Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

On the fourth day, a student delivered a speech of Swami Vivekananda.

On the fifth day, a quiz was conducted based on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings.

This presentation was very informative and students learnt a lot about Swami Vivekananda-The Spiritual Genius.

English Debate Competition

A coin has two sides, same is true for a debate. It is always interesting to think about the two sides of an issue, be able to agree and disagree with a statement. Orchidians of III-V classes participated in their much awaited English Debate competition on 3/01/14. The debatable topic for participants was ‘Television is a media for education and entertainment’.

The participants were divided into two groups.

Group A spoke in favour of Education.

Group B were favouring Entertainment.
