Field Trip to Jagisa Packaging Industries (23/11/12)

What exactly is "waste?"
Waste is anything we throw away or get rid of, that doesn’t get used.
‘Waste’ makes us feel uncomfortable, reminds us how lavishly and greedily we waste things not even thinking about the future generation.
Paper is also considered as a waste.
‘Paper’ for a child /student is- a white sheet used for writing, drawing, scribbling, tearing and finally dumping in the dustbin. This is a regular process among the kids. To make them understand about the judicial use of paper, the staff along with the head of the school decided to take students on a field trip to JagisaPaper industry, Dhulapally, Hyderabad. Taking students to the paper factory was also to make them aware of the harms caused by plastic and its products to the environment. So on November 23 2012 students of class III, IV and V were taken to the Mentioned venue.
Students were thrilled and excited about the field trip. Once they reached their destination, they were filled with numerous doubts and questions which were clarified by the experts present over there. Students were taken to different sections of the industry and were explained the various procedure involved in the production of the paper bags.
Curiosity, eagerness and willingness to protect the nature was seen among the students. The field trip was really a beneficial one wherein the students took a pledge that they shall minimise the usage of plastic bags, which really added meaning to the field trip.
